In the summer of 2009 Cathy and I served with Dayspring as summer staff. I hadn't served in summer staff since 1998. Back then there were 3 of us that served as summer staff. In 2009 we served with over 30! We had a great time serving with all the staff. They are great people and now considered close members of our family.

DMT March 09

Cathy and I traveled down to La Haciendita, Mexico to the Bible school where the Dayspring Missionary Training (DMT) program is taking place. The students were well tanned since the last time that I had checked in with them. Broken spanish and English was the common language. Relationships were being built and a passion for missions was seen everywhere.

Christmas 08 - Team Arroyo

On Christmas day 2008, we arrived in Edinburg, TX to meet the groups from Nagadoches, TX and Texarkana, TX & AR that were going to be joining us for Christmas trips. From there we headed deep into the Sierra Madre Oriential mountains. We brought the news of Christ's birth, death and resurrection to small villages that dot the desert mountain landscape. To celebrate Christ's love we also gave out love packs with the bare essentials like soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, washclothes, etc. Included in the love packs also were a small gift for each of the children. For many of the children this was the only gifts they would get this Christmas.We had a great time, made many new friends, and best of all we shared the love of Christ in a very tangible way.
